To my sister in Christ my sister n law my big sister whom I cried with laugh and got the word. She was so humble always had a kind voice never heard her raise her voice and I been with her brother for 50 years. She told me when I was wrong and always had an ear to listen and good advice to give me and you can bet I listen to her I love her so much whatever I could do for her or whatever she asked of me I was glad to do it with a smile on my face. Sleep on beautiful will see you later.
To my sister she fought a good fight she stayed as long as the lord had her to be with us. Thanks for staying to prepare us for your heavenly rest will see you later love always your brother Lewis.
I was saddened to learn about Betty's passing; but I was not shocked because I believe the Lord had prepared me for this a few days before when I felt such a devastating sense of sadness and felt like crying. She was a trooper, rallying back even when the doctors gave up. The Lord put her asleep on His timetable, not the doctors. I remembered when Betty while a nurse at St Dominics would kindly tend to me after I was in such pain after surgery and I was not her patient. She impressed me as being a devoted committed follower of Jesus and having a deep love for her family. My sister Susie said she had a beautiful voice and would sing to her. I pray that the Heavenly Father spreads his wings of everlasting love and watchful care over the family. Don't lose faith. This is only temporary. A brighter day is on the horizon. I was praying that God would let her live awhile longer but he called her to sleep in a place of quiet rest, where angels are waiting to call her home. When Jesus returns, it will be as if she has just fallen asleep and wakened up. That is why I won't say, "Betty, goodbye but good night, I will see you in the morning." Like the psalmist said, "...weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning." May God bring you peace during this time of grief. Ruth (Lois)
