Billy Ray Bridges, 80, of Jayess, MS was born December 19, 1944 to Jovan Bridges and Emma Lee Holloway Bridges in Walthall County, MS. Billy Ray a loving kind son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and longshoreman passed November 8, 2025 in Forest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS.
He leaves to cherish his memory two children, Anjuan Brown (Marian) and Kimberly Bridges; brothers, Jovan Bridges of Tylertown, Mississippi, Larry Bridges (Jean), Bernard Bridges (Sharon), Roger Bridges, and Vernell Bridges of Jackson, Mississippi; sisters, Mae Evelyn Magee and Alma Bridges of Jayess, Mississippi, and Audrey Bridges Wiley of Jackson, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Courtney Brown, Britteny Pickens, Kelsy Brown, Olivia Edebiri, Preston Bridges, Jr., and Brycen Edebiri; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
