Just hearing about your passing Darius. I remember you from college. You were always so nice and warm! And your passion for learning was inspiring. Later in life, I was happy to see you growing in your potential and fulfilling your dreams. I'm truly heartbroken you're not on this earth anymore but please know your impact is still being felt.
Darius Bates ! Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for everything you've done for me at JSU and outside of campus. Thank you for being the big brother i never had in Jackson. I'll never forget the moments we shared. I'm heartbroken. I hope you've found Peace. Gutted you had to go so soon. I absolutely love you bro. Sisay !! Till we meet again my bro
We met in Lansing Michigan at my church. Your kind. Disposition caused many to gravitate to you We shared stories over dinner about the south an your college experience. You spoke highly of your parents and remaining humble about your accomplishments. Our last conversation over breakfast was very interesting, but before we departed God allowed me to pray for you. I never had the opportunity to speak to you again. I believe that God connected us together bro. For just a small moment in time so you could share and express yourself through a sincere heart. To be absent in this body, is to be present with the LORD. May God bless your love ones during this time of sorrow. Tim Lloyd former youth pastor and friend.
To the entire Bates Family, Glenn, and Darius's mother; we,the Price Family, give our deepest condolences to each of you.
