Darren Tyrone Johnson was born May 27, 1970. He was born the last of Johnson siblings to the late Henry Allen Johnson and Etherlen Beamon Johnson. He was the bay of ten siblings. The love for him was shared bountifully and he was cared for by all his older brothers and sisters even up to his passing.
He attended Raines Elementary and Provine High School. He also attended The Career Development Center, where he took up a trade in Brick Masonry.
He was a member of Cynthia Church of Christ (Holiness) USA. There he loved to sit on the back seat, smile nod and and enjoy the singing and preaching.
Darren worked as a self-employed landscaper. He loved what he did and always left his clients happy. He took over the Johnson's Landscaping Business where he and his nephew Jason worked together.
Darren leaves to cherish his memories: brothers: J.L. (Turk); henry Lee (Cecil); David (Peggy), Leroy (Clara); sisters; Linda Ware, Diane Fleming (Leroy) and Brenda Manuel (David) all of Jackson, Mississippi, a brother in law; Jimmie Ervin, Sr., a sweet stepdaughter who stood by him, Marilyn Ford and a wonderful stepson, Stephen Ford.
Gone before him: Henry Allen (father); Ethelene (mother), Josephine Ervin (sister), Marvin (brother) and John Lee (brother). He had a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and dear friends whom he shared laughs, money and love with.
Smokey loved the outdoors, hanging with his nephews, riding four wheelers, or just eating whatever Reggie would put on the grill. He will be truly missed for his genuine smith and humbled spirit.
I'm very sorry for this trial the family of Mr. Johnson is fighting. The inspiring thoughts at Revelation 21:4 mention the yearning God has to eliminate all our sorrow one day. The words in that verse have brought me solace, and I hope they help you as well.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
