Obituary For Derek Nigel Brown
Funeral services will be Friday, April 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., Westhaven Funeral Home Chapel, 3580 Robinson Street, Jackson, MS 39209 with burial in Garden Memorial Park, 8001 Highway 49, Jackson, MS 39209.
Derek Nigel Brown was born in Natchez, MS to Albert Lee (Pickett) Brown and Joseph Brown on July 31, 1972. He went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at St. Dominic Hospital.
Derek is a graduate of Provine High School in Jackson, MS and was self-employed as an HVAC technician for many years. He was previously employed by Terminix Pest Control.
He is preceded in death by one sister, Karen Ann Brown.
Derek is survived by one brother, Warren Brown (Loretta) of Terry, MS and one sister, Cassandra Brown of Jackson, MS; nieces and nephew, Dr. Keisha Brown of San Antonio, TX, Maya Brown of Busan, South Korea; Brandon Brown of Terry, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Special acknowledgements extend to his closest friends: Charles Payne, Charles Cole, Fred Bailey, Patrick Brown, and Mark Young.
