Diane's Family and Friends,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Diane's passing. She and I shared a unique bond, both being from Mississippi—her from Raymond and me from Jackson. We first met at the police department and later discovered that we both attended Jackson State University.
I'll always cherish the memories we made, especially the way she could light up any room with her smile and infectious laughter. I'll never forget the story she loved to tell about having to chase down a suspect on foot. It perfectly captured her spirit—determined, courageous, and always with a sense of humor.
Diane was a remarkable woman of God who touched many lives, including mine. She will be deeply missed, but her love and smile will remain in our hearts forever.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Cynthia McGee Odenton, Maryland

It was an absolute pleasure to have had an opportunity to meet Diane Henderson-Neal, first as a Real Estate agent then as my sweet Soror. When we connected, we would quickly discuss business, then would spend the rest of the time having the most spirited/fun/heart felt conversations! During those conversations, she always shared how much her husband Carroll, her sons & mother meant to her and how she wanted to ensure they were well taken care of & that they would have bright futures! Most importantly, she also ensured that she shared her love for Christ. Sending Prayers To Her Family-Rest in HIS arms my sweet sis! Stephanie

To the Neal and Henderson Families and all who loved Diane: Those of us in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area regret that we could not celebrate the life of Diane with you in person. Then you would see an overflowing service with many, many tributes from those who held Diane in the highest regard.
Diane was one of 24 Christian women who became members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in April 2002. This made us Line Sisters, one of the highest bonds among sorority members. Our Line, 24 Karat Gold, has high regard for our departed soror and her service to our community. We lost another Line Sister in May and because of our faith, we know that Soror Panthea Mitchell and Diane have already renewed their bond in Heaven. As mortals, we expect that all 24 of us will reunite one bright day.
With Sincerest Sympathy, Soror Aaro Jean Bell
My condolences to the family of Diane Henderson-Neal. May the beautiful memories of her bring family and friends peace and comfort Ruth Jones-Davis
I remember vividly, the day I met Diane as a rookie officer, when I came to the 3rd District Station (where she was assigned at the time) with my FTO for a call. When I walked by her in the hallway without speaking, she stated in a loud voice, "Come here back here, little girl"! From that day forward, I talked to her and confided in her about some of the challenges I faced as a new officer. As I gained time on the department and eventually began life as a newlywed, then a mom, to first time homeowner, etc. Diane was there to cheer me on my life's journey. I was so inspired by her love for God and she would always remind me to call on Him whenever I faced a challenge. Diane was more than my co-worker; she was a mentor and she was my "mama". I will certainly miss her, but I am thankful she is in a much better place now. My condolences to her husband, children, family and our colleagues of the Montgomery County Police Department. We may have lost a gem on Earth, but her spirit STILL lives on through those of us she touched. - Sergeant I. Enendu (MCPD)
