The late Mr. Eddie Richard Denton, Sr., affectionately known as “Hampbone,” was born on March 13, 1939, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Clotee Thomas Denton in Bolton, Hinds County, MS. He was the fourth of seven children born to this union. He grew up in a close-knit family that instilled strong family values, love, faith, and perseverance.
