To my best friend always smiling giving advice who loved his family and friends will truly be missed π’ just recently found you had left this old world no more pain rip Eazy. Sherry
Pops. Man the city hurt behind this one. I never got to play for you but you never wanted nothing but the best for me. Between you and OMHAR man y'all don't know how many lives y'all impacted and changed and also saved. Basketball and this city will never be the same. It'll never be on the level that y'all pushed us to be on at that early age. I remember walking in the airbase or any gym we was in and you always told me B i got your jersey in the bag whenever you ready. Thank you for believing in us Pops. We got Pookie and the family and we know you never leaving them either. I love you man watch over us!
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Eddie's family. Always had a smile for everyone. Rest in Heaven. Another one of God's soldiers called home. Mr and Mrs Joseph Collins/ MHR
Thinking About you pops brought back all the memories I remember how our relationship got started me and lil pookie was playing on coach Jordan team together and you was the assistant coach you told us after that season you wanted to start your own team up and Me, Pookie and Marvel were the first three players to ever start with you and ever since then it was up. We spent alot of time with you through the week for practice and on weekends for games. Was at the gym with you literally early in the morning before anybody and we would be the last ones leaving the gym because you always had a key π Man you treated us just like we were your kids. Always was wit you at your house didn't wanna go home you picked everybody up in the morning and would drop us off we didn't even want our parents to pick us up or drop us off cause we wanted to ride wit you all the time and I still remember when we first met you we was calling you Coach Eddie or Coach Williams at first but from how real you were and the love you showed us as kids we decided we would call you Pops because you was like a father to us instead of just a Coach and you ran with it every since man got alot of memories to talk about with you pops wish I would have stayed playing for you Longer then I did RIP Pops Love Boso or N as you use to call me cause you couldn't pronounce my name πβ€οΈ
Damn pops This marvel I ain't gone you crushed me all over again., You introduced me to this thang called life., Basketball, The streets, The Women, The game etc. and I love you for that. You took me in since day 1 despite how bad I was you never cared and it was always you wanted the best for me and you never told me no fr. I was actually your son and you treated me just like one. You was way more than just a coach to me you was a real father to me. And I'm glad that god put you in my life and I was able to experience that real love from you. You introduced me to my first double cheese burger from McDonald'sπππ I was eating chicken and rice everyday. Ill never forget them store runs where we go in the store and get wateva we want no matter the cost. I still remember my first store run with you and I grab a bag of chips., a pack of skittles and a drink and you told me marvel you sure that's all you want cause wen we get to the house ain't no leaving back out. I went back and got damn near the whole store you was marvel you got enough snacks for everybody for the whole weekend. I laughed and said well pops you told me go get more so I did what you told meπ. You use to curse me out more than you did Adrian and nem and whoop me then I go right back and do the samething. You a say you just don't listen marvel. I can go on and on about memories with you pops but I'll be typing for the next 20 years. I really hate this happened to you pops and me., Adrian., tonio and Libby and everybody gone old it down for you big manπ. I love you 4Lβ€οΈβπ©Ήπ₯Ίπ
Man....... Pops.... I love You man. As a kid with parents from Nigeria. No real uncles or grandparents over here. You were there. I was With you almost every day of my childhood. You taught me my spin move on the post. You taught me how to dunk. You taught me everything about ball and life. You took it upon yourself to sit at the ymca so me and my brothers and all the other kids could still play basketball as long as they want. You were the only one working there after a while. Running the whole gym. Just for us. Then dropped us off after.... Man You did everything. The cool uncle I never had. I love you. So many laughs we had man. Your laugh will forever be in my brain lmao. The candy store runs where we could buy however much candy we want after practice. Spending the night at your house so much out parents was like wait hold up lmao. You were really the coolest nigga ever man.
