Obituary For James Lesley Tindal

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., Westhaven Funeral Home Chapel, 3580 Robinson Road, Jackson, MS 39209.

We pause today to pay tribute to James Lesley Tindal, whose eternal life began on August 5, 2019. James was born on November 10, 1940, in Clarendon County, South Carolina, to Cleveland and Ethel Richburg Tindal. He was educated at Manning Training School, in Manning, South Carolina. Immediately after school, moved to Florida, then to Jackson, MS and subsequently to Dallas, TX, where worked in construction until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Ethel R. Tindal, sisters: Julia Tindal Blanding, Victoria Tindal DuRant, Mamie Tindal Brown; and daughter, Ruby Jean Keeton. Fond memories will always be cherished by his loving family, brothers: Cleveland (C.L.) Tindal (Sarah) of Baltimore, MD; Admiral Tindal (Elisa Ann) of Manning, SC, and Alonza Tindal (Levern Holliday) of Manning, SC; daughter, Willa Denise Johnson (Eric) of Allen, TX; son, Roy Dale Keeton of Dallas, TX; grandson, Terrence Keeton; granddaughters: Shasion Keeton and Nina Keeton; adopted goddaughter, SherLonda “Shae” Jones-Johnson and family; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
