Brother Johnny Singleton Sr., at the age of 83 passed away at home on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 with his, children and family by his side. He was born July 31, 1937 in Raymond, MS to the late Willie Ann Kent and Ernest Singleton. Johnny was a faithful member of St. Thomas Community, the President of the Water Association for St. Thomas M B Church, as well as Superintendent for the Sunday School. Johnny was an athlete at heart and spent over 32 years of life as an educator and coach in the Jackson Public School System, but his favorite job was being a wise Paw Paw to his grandchildren.
We know that his life will be forever cherished and his wishes will be carried on through lives of his five children, Perry (Frances) Tillman, Clinton MS; Cathedral (Dr. Robert) Woodruff, Johnny (Keenan) Singleton, and Shantae Monique Singleton, all of Bolton, MS, and Shauna (Chris Sr.) Williams of Katy, TX.

Public viewing begins at 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Westhaven Memorial Funeral Home, 3580 Robinson St., Jackson, MS 39209.
The Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020, 11:00 am at St. Thomas Memorial Garden, St. Thomas Rd., Bolton, MS 39041.

Mr. Singleton touched many lives while teaching at Forest Hill High School. Had a great time in his class. He always called me knucklehead. So sorry for your loss of your Dad.
