To Larry's siblings, his son and grandchildren: "Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal..." I believe I can speak for my mother, Mrs. Mariah Redmond, and my siblings when I say this: We are here for you. During times of death and grief, many may try to express their empathetic feelings for a person, and they often fail because there are no words that can make the pain go away. This is a hard one to accept! Not Larry, I cried out! LARRY?? Then, I realized that you all are right in the middle of the experience. I immediately say, "Lord, have mercy on the Turners!" We, the Redmonds, who remember the tender Mt. Nebo years that we shared with you, will keep praying for your strength. All of the sentiments about time healing and God holding you are true, but just know that we are here for you all, in whatever capacity you need us to fulfill.... 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️. This is from Linda Redmond Taylor for Mudear, Celia Ann Burse, Jessie Mae Thompson, Jerry Redmond, and Robert Redmond.

Each loss to our family is tough. Larry was a wonderful cousin. David and Larry were our first co workers. They both were hard workers as teenagers and taught my brother and I the value of honest hard work. Between the decorator work and the landscaping we were down with Uncle David, Larry and David. I even attended Tougaloo with David and Larry for a semester and they taught me the ropes. Larry will be greatly missed. Much Love Vernon Bell

Grief is the price we pay for love. Rest in peace my dear friend, who I loved like a brother. I take comfort in knowing that you are at peace and suffering no more, and that I will eventually find peace when the fond memories of the good times we shared push past the grief I am now feeling and bring a smile to my face and laughter to my heart. ~Charles Henderson, Jim Hill Class of 1974
