Today this epitaph comes with some profound memories of the impact Dr. Larry Robinson has had on my life coming into adolescent. He introduce me and others to a new world of .music. I traveled with a profound group of young people upon his discovery of a new sound of worship.. And worship we did. I would fly into Jackson he would add me as a guest soloist to the churches he served in i honor Dr. Larry.Greenville, Concert choir, Jackson, and New England States and Tougaloo places he serve and brought life. To The Robinson Family, Truly a life to be Celebrated, for Larry Robinson, a gifted and Godly man, touched the lives of many. My friend, mentor and confidante, ours was a special bond, and I am grateful that GOD allowed our paths to cross. He gave me confidence in my talent, which spurred my foreign accomplishments with ease. We finally performed a concert of African American Composers together, and indeed this is a cherished musical memory for me. I respected his devotion to his family, which always came first; his dedication to education, and his profound Faith. I will truly miss him, but he will always live in my heart! Dr. Larry Robinson Was A Gifted Christian Talented, Musician. Very Serious in His Teaching, and Conducting Choirs Over The Years.I Remember Him Well When He Conducted Our Male Choirs At Mt. Whenever we Perform, We Were Ready Spiritually,Seriously And Productively in All Our Performances, To God.He Taught My Brothers A Well Tradition Tune, "Take You Burdens To The Lord " Which We Still Sing At Special Time With Family, And Meditation Times Together. My family and I met Larry when he and our sister Janice attended Tougaloo together. He and Janice was in the choir. He was always at our house and we loved to hear him sing. Sending prayers to his family 🙏
My prayers go out to the family. Mr.Robinson was my music teacher at C. M.& I. I had such a great opportunity to learn to perform and sing under his tutelage. He made us all great and believe there was nothing we couldn't do if we just tried. He will be missed but know that his legacy lives on in each of his students.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
