Funeral services will be Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church, 729 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Gluckstadt, MS.
L.C. Tyler Sr. was born April 11,1935 in Madison, MS to the parents 0f L.V. Tyler Sr. and Causey Pugh. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and wife Annie Lee Tyler and one child deceased at birth, three daughters Liz Price, Annie Scott and Hady Tyler and one brother L.V. Tyler Jr., two sisters Thelma Moore and Velma Tyler, and grandson Jermaine Tyler.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Gluckstadt, MS where he sung in the male choir and served as a Deacon until his health began to fail him. He was a faithful member until his death.
He was united in Holy matrimony to Annie Lee Anderson and to this union eleven children were born. He was a devoted husband and father who loved his family. He was a janitor at Madison Central High School where he worked until his health began to fail. He taught his children to work hard to earn an honest living. He was a devoted believer of God, who shared his faith and taught his children to serve God with unwavering faith. He loved to read his Bible and sing and play his guitar and harmonica to his family. He was firm in his teachings not only with his children but also with all the children he met throughout his life.
