Mississippi has lost a legendβ€”an inspirational voice, a beautiful soul, and a woman who shared her God-given gift through song with so many. From "Near the Cross" to the many other songs she blessed us with, her voice touched hearts and lifted spirits.

While we mourn her passing, we find comfort knowing that she is no longer just singing about being near the crossβ€”she is now in the presence of our Heavenly Father.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Curry, Williams, and Mississippi Mass Choir family during this difficult time. May God comfort, strengthen, and keep them in the days ahead.

Letter of Condolence: 2 Timothy 4:7-8 King James Version (KJV) 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. "Earth has no sorrow that heaven can't heal" "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8) To the family of Leah Angela Curry Williams ("Angie"), I send my deepest sympathy in this difficult time. She was a devoted good person and but also a good friend to everyone. Ms. Angie was a good person in her own special way, she share a lot of love to everyone she came in contact. She definitely, was a blessing to everyone always, which she was truly called a friend in deed. She was loved dearly by family, and friends. She was well known in the community. She was lead soloist for the legendary Mississippi Mass Choir, she led songs like, "Near the Cross" alongside Frank Williams, "Yes", "When God's Children Get Together ". She also enjoyed family time. Gone to soon... but not forgotten. she transition home to glory, where she received her wings, she definitely will be missed, to all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with her whole family, and friends. "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." (Psalm 30: 5) Rest in peace Ms. Angie; you're now resting in the arms of Jesus. May God bless, strengthen and keep this family in perfect peace. Sincerely,
