I am saddened to hear of Lily's passing. She was an amazing lady. The short time I knew her, she made a great impact. She was always smiling and encouraging all of us in the DBA program. She remembered very specific details about everybody and truly wanted to connect with each of us. I noticed she wasn't in our classes anymore, but never expected she was no longer with us. Lacie, Nile, Chase, and Mr. Pierre your mom and wife was literally one of the funniest and realest people I've had the pleasure of knowing. Every interaction was met with kindness and pure genuinenes. I could ALWAYS rely on her to tell me the truth and be one of my biggest cheerleaders. She's definitely one of a kind, and I'm going to miss her tremendously.

We will miss you cousin Fae. The last time I saw you was at Lacie & Brandon's wedding but the moment I will remember you most is when my mother Rosa Faye Butler was in the hospital and you popped up out of nowhere. You was like, "Hey cuz, I heard you were in the hospital and had to stop by to see you while on my way to the airport to head back to Los Angeles". You made my mom feel so loved in that moment and I will forever remember your deep love for family. Rest In Peace cousin Fae.

It was such a pleasure to share a wonderful afternoon with Faye and Maryland, full of smiles and laughter along with delicious seafood selections at Pappadeaux in Atlanta recently, having no idea of what would follow such a joyful event that ended with us telling jokes under the street light.
