Loraine Green departed this world peacefully on Monday August 17, 2020 @ 8:15 a.m in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on July 14, 1962 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to Olivia Green. At the age of 26 she departed Clarksdale and created a new life for herself in Jackson, MS where she worked at Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Company as a seamstress. In 2012 she co-founded the family soul food restaurant Tay’s on Palmyra Street in Jackson, Mississippi as a vital service to a community in need of a taste of Mom’s home cooking. Her passion of cooking poured into every item on the menu for breakfast and lunch with rave reviews from all patrons. In June of 2016 she relinquished her ownership of Tay’s Soul Food restaurant and moved to Fort Worth, Texas where she lived and worked until her passing. As a resident of Texas, she met new friends, thrived as an employee of GameStop ReFurb Inc. as a Warehouse Associate and as a member of the Fort Worth community. She is preceded in death by her brother Alfred Green and her mother Olivia Green. Loraine is survived in love by her children; Daughter; LaTonya L. Armour, (Don C. Armour Sr.), Daughter; Kimberly L. Green, Son; Quinton D. Green. She was a grandmother to: Malikhi Shaw, Quinton Green Jr, Keyonna Youngblood, Lauren M. Armour and Don C. Armour Jr., Siblings: Sister; Dolores Green- Franklin, (James-Franklin), Brother; Larry Green, (DeSandra Green) Sister; Shirley Youngblood, Brother; Kennieth Green, (Aarolyn Green) along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved dearly. Loraine was a humble, loving women who lived life her way, filled with memories of laughter, music, her passion of cooking, dancing and her ability to never judge and give her love and support to anyone that knew her. She will be missed immensely but remembered by us all through eternity.
