Mrs. Mae Ruth Hunter Barnes, 87, of Jackson, Mississippi, was born April 28, 1938, to Benjamin Franklin Hunter and Zellena Craft Hunter in Helena, Arkansas. She transitioned peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Baptist Medical Center.
Mrs. Mae was a devoted and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant who dedicated many years of service to caring for others. Her nurturing spirit, gentle touch, and kind heart made a lasting impact on the lives of the patients and families she served. She found joy in helping those in need and took great pride in her work.
