Mr. Archie Lee Myers, Sr. transitioned peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at St. Dominic's Hospital. His life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and service, and his memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.

I met Archie Lee Myers,Sr. the fall of 1970 when we started at then Hinds Junior College at Raymond. I finished at Clinton High in 1970 at the end of the eleventh grade, stayed at Hinds one year. I applied to Tougaloo College and received a full scholarship. I later ran across Archie and told him that the newly formed Clinton Municipal Schools was forming a VoTech program and he should apply. He applied and thus his journey began. I had the privilege of fellowship with him when I joined the Elks. May he rest in peace and consolation to His loved ones.
