Mrs. Jefferson was who I called, Aunt Clarissa. Her belated husband, Clarence Jefferson, Sr. was a plummer, that I had known since I was a child. Uncle J and Aunt Clarissa have been friends with my parents, Late Joe Lewis Land (first Black policer officer) and Mrs. Mary Land beyond my 69 years. Each knowing their families children, grandchildren and then some. Visiting each others homes, during football games, sharing recipes, family updates and so on. I sang at 'Toot' wedding so many years ago, at True Vine Baptist Church. Had the pleasure of Aunt Clarissa's cooking that would put many restaurants to shame. Aunt Clarissa was a beautiful woman, great mother, sweet wife, Christian and all around good soul. When you meet her, you can say you just met an 'Angel'! An amazing cook, that could put a lot of restaurants to shame. I will miss this angel in this life! There will never be another one like her. As the doors of Heaven open, take a moment to listen. This Angel has her wings in Heaven, so well deserved!!!!!!!!!!!!!
