Funeral services will be Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., Autumn Woods Cemetery, 4000 W. Northside Drive, Jackson, MS 39209.

Ollie Elizabeth Lee Rhodes was born March 12, 1942, in Jackson, MS to the late Emmanuel Austin and Lue Bertha Thurman-Austin. She was the first daughter of seven children. On June 26, 1973, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Willie Rhodes at her parents’ home. She confessed Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Love Temple Church of God in Christ. She later moved her membership to Macedonia Church of God in Christ to serve as a faithful member. She was a dedicated employee for 10 years as a healthcare provider. She loved her job taking care of other people. On Sunday, July 19, 2020, Ollie transitioned home to be with her heavenly Father. Ollie leaves to cherish her memories and legacy, six children: Bobby (Earnestine) Austin of Yazoo, MS; Marvin Austin of Jackson, MS; Quellis (Robin) Rhodes of Grand Rapids, MI; Thelisa (Jimmy) Ross of Jackson, MS; Georgia Austin of Jackson, MS and Cynethia Rhodes of Jackson, MS; ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; five sisters: Emma Turner of Mobile, AL; Rachel (Henry) Thomas of Daphne, AL; Bertha (Charles) Coleman of Brandon, MS; Irene (Henry) Frank of Terry, MS; and Linda (James) Hubbard of Raymond, MS; one brother: William (Susan) Austin, Sr. of Jackson, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and many friends. One very special, loving sister-in-law: Brenda Clay Lewis.
