Pastor Billy Joe Ervin, 84, was born on December 24, 1941, to the late William Ervin and Henrietta Washington Ervin in Pelahatchie, Mississippi.
A devoted servant of God, faithful pastor, and beloved member of the community, Pastor Ervin dedicated his life to sharing the Gospel and uplifting others through his ministry and Christian example.
He peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on June 6, 2026, at his residence in Bolton, Mississippi, surrounded by the memories of a life well lived and a legacy of faith that will continue to inspire generations to come.

I can only imagine the devastation that's felt when one has walked with his mate for the length of time this union has been and then to have it severed by the loss of that devoted loved one. My prayers go with Bishop Bettye Ervin and all of the Ervin family. The hurt that's being experienced right now may not go away any time soon, but it will get better. And someday all that you're going through, including grief and unsettledness, will be miraculously erased from the memory; and the Lord Jesus is going to replace all that hurt with the permanence of His peace - a benefit which your loved one now shares in fullness of spirit. Likewise, you have a foretaste of that peace until the completion of the coming Kingdom. Until then, know that you're a constant in our heart and prayers.❤️🙂
