I met Ms. Ruth while working for the City of Jackson. She was the manager at Smith Robertson Senior Center. She loved her job and always had a cup of coffee for her guest and the center was always spotless. I enjoyed our conversations, her laughter and above all her kindness and humble spirit. I am sorry to hear about Ms. Ruth I met her about 5 years ago a my aunt birthday party. They both did hair.We exchanged numers and often talked. I even came to her church after she invited me. Just 2 weeks ago I was thinking of her.I even came to her birthday party at the church.She was so sweet. God bless the family.She will be alright.

Ma Ruth was such a beautiful and loving person. The last time I saw her was at my grandmothers' funeral in 2017, she gave me a big hug and told me that she miss and love me. I will always remember her glowing smile and encouraging words. She will truly be missed. -Loretta

I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Weir at the City of Jackson for several years. She was such a sweet lady. She left her mark at Smith Robertson Senior Center! She would call my husband Thelman Boyd when he was the Public Works Director for the City to fix a water leak in her yard near the street and she was so grateful that he got it done! Rest In HEAVEN Ms. Weir.
