Send flowers to the service of Rutha Mae Braxton
To the family and dear friends of Ms. Braxton,
Please accept my deepest, most heartfelt condolences during this time of profound sorrow. Experiencing the loss of a loved one brings a deep kind of grief, and no matter how many years we are blessed to share with someone, it never feels like enough time. Ms. Braxton clearly left an enduring legacy through her 82 years of life, characterized by her exceptional work ethic, quiet dedication, and the deep love she shared with those closest to her.
During these difficult days, we can find true comfort by turning to the Scriptures and the promises of our Creator, Jehovah God. He is intimately aware of your pain and wants to sustain you. The Bible beautifully reminds us that He is "the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials." (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4)
The Scriptures offer a reliable, forward-looking hope that can anchor our hearts when we feel overwhelmed. Jehovah views death as an enemy, and He has promised to eliminate it permanently. We can find immense reassurance in the words found at Revelation 21:4:
"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."
Additionally, the Bible teaches that those who have passed away are peacefully resting, safe in God's limitless memory. The faithful man Job expressed a beautiful confidence in Jehovah's desire to restore life to the dead, asking: "If a man dies, can he live again?" He confidently answered: "You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands." (Job 14:14, 15) It is incredibly comforting to know that our Creator earnestly yearns to bring back those who have fallen asleep in death.
May you find strength in these Scriptural promises, and may the precious memories of Ms. Braxton bring a measure of peace to your hearts. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with your family as you support one another through this time of loss.
