Dear Mrs. Mitchell, I am deeply saddened at the passing of Mr. Mitchell. His service to the City of Jackson as a long time Planning Board Member was invaluable. His service helped to create land use polices that have created many and various development opportunities throughout the City. He was a man of great integrity and was widely respected. We thank God for the life of Mr. Mitchell, his wisdom service ,and leadership. We send our condolences and prayers to you and the family. Please take comfort in knowing that God is our refuge and strength when difficult times such as this come into our lives. ester L. Ainsworth.
Rev. Vincent and Sis. Patricia Houseworth, along with Mrs. Essie Holtzclaw sends their condolences to the entire Mitchell Family. Mr. Mitchell never met an individual that he would not lend a helping hand to make their lives better! He loved the Lord, the Church, his family, and his community! Mr. Mitchell loved everybody! Mr. Mitchell along with his wife Mrs. Sharron Mitchell would always share some of their blessings with my mother-in-law Mrs. Essie Holtzclaw. Mr. Mitchell dedicated his life in doing what he needed to do in order to create an environment that would bring out the best in his community. I would always see him cutting many of his neighbor's yards. I am reminded of what Luke the Physician wrote in the book of Acts Chapter 20 and the 35th verse: I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, it is more blessed to give than to receive. Finally, we encourage the entire Mitchell family to continue to be strong in the Lord and in the Power of his might which is found in Jesus Christ the son of the living God!
My sincere condolences on the loss of Mr. Mitchell!
