Sherry was my big cousin/big sister we were both the only child. I talked to her very often, I will you calling me saying three to five words then saying bye. Rest easy Sherry. I'll see you later...
Sherrilynn was a true friend indeed. We met 12 years ago when her mom transitioned to a nursing home and I worked there. Sherrilynn was not excited about this change. However, I did my best to help her cope. A year later I moved out of state. Sherry stayed in touch with me almost everyday. We'd joke that she was old enough to be my mom. None of that mattered because we had so much in common. She had such a loving pure heart. We'd laugh about everything. I'm gonna miss my Sherry. She always told me that I was such a great mom and oftentimes talking to her got me through my day. She was truly one of a kind. May she rest in peace.
Sherilyn was a beautiful spirit. She said her mother told her to always stay in touch with my mom, Emma Strickland and Sherilyn did just that. She called my mom almost every day. It was a joy and blessing to my mom to talk with Sherilyn. We will miss her dearly. Love 💕
Sherrilyn and I were in the Buds of Promise at Blair St AME Zion Church during our early years in Jackson.
