Obituary For Willie Clark Bell, Sr.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 12:00 noon, Garden Memorial Park, 8001 Highway 49, Jackson, MS 39111.

“A Time to Be Born” (Ecclesiastes 3:12)

On December 25, 1934, the community of Starkville Mississippi received a bundle of joy (Willie Clark Bell, Sr.) that was born to the late Pearly and Annie Lou Bell.

“A Time to Be Trained” (Proverbs 22:16)

Willie C. was educated in the public schools of Oktibbeha County. He received a Bachelor of Science in 1960 from Jackson College (Jackson State University). He was employed with Van Moving and Storage, Jones Trucking, Yellow Freight, United Parcel Services, and Jackson Public Schools Transportation.

“A Time to Serve” (Ephesians 6:6-8 and Isaiah 6:8) Willie C. confessed his life to Christ at an early age at New Prospect Methodist Church in Starkville, Mississippi. Upon coming to Jackson Mississippi, he joined Anderson United Methodist Church where he was an active member for many years. He served on many different committees within the church up until his health declined.

“A Time for Peace” I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” (Timothy 4:7) On September 28, 2020 angels from Heaven descended to take Willie C. Bell, Sr. home to be with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pearly Bell; his wife, Hazel Bell; his sisters, Clarice Larry, Evelyn Gunn, Marlene Simpson, Annie Lowery; his brother Aaron Bell; his daughter, Jacqueline Bell; his son, David Wynn, Sr.; and his grandson, Darvin Wynn.

“A Time to Say Goodbye” (Psalm 27:4) Cherishing her memories are his children: Regena Bell, Willie C Bell, Jr., Christopher (Yolanda) Bell, and Katherine (Charles) Helom all of Jackson, Mississippi; daughter in law: JoAnn Wynn of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; brother in law: Lewis Larry of Starkville, Mississippi; twelve grandchildren: Jacqueline Wynn of Columbus, Mississippi; Ravi (Josephine) Buckner of Louisville, Kentucky; David (Kristen) Wynn II of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Cristy Wynn of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Brittani (Donovan) Tate of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Nickolas (Anton Sharov) Bell, Los Angeles, California; Willie C. Bell III of Atlanta, Georgia; Breanna Bell and Wilson Bell both of Jackson, Mississippi; Kendrick Anderson of Atlanta, Georgia; Courtney (Andi) Anderson of Cibolo, Texas; Amir (Judith) Anderson, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
