Mr. Alvin Johnson, Jr.

Augusta, GA—Mr. Alvin Johnson, Jr., entered into rest Saturday, June 27, 2020.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from Southview Cemetery, 1102 Nellieville Road.

Alvin entered this earthly plane on Father's Day, June 20, 1993, to Karen Wilson and Alvin Phillip Johnson, Sr. At the age of five, Alvin developed a passion for basketball. It would remain ardent throughout his lifetime; he loved the game of Basketball.

He attended Gavit Middle/High School in Hammond, Indiana, where he received his diploma in 2011. He went on to pursue a college career at Wiberforce, University in Wiverforce, Ohio, where he studied Graphic Design. He was preceded in death by: his father, Alvin Phillip Johnson, Sr.; grandfather, Jimmie L. Wilson of Chicago, Illinois; two uncles, Clarence Carthern and Anothy Johnson, both of Augusta, Georgia; cousin, Gray Johnson of Augusta, Georgia; and aunt, Lois Winfield of Chicago, Illinois.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: mother, Karen O. Wilson; two sisters, Zhané C. Shaw and Sharon L. Means; grandmother, Rose M. Wilson; two uncles, Timothy Moore and LaMonte A. (Marie) Wilson, both of Chicago, Illinois; two aunts, Detris Gilchrist of Augusta, Georgia and Darlene Bonner, whom was Alvin's Godmother; three cousins, Deydreeon Gilchrist and DeShay Coley, both of Augusta, Georgia and Marsalls Wilson of Chicago, Illinois; and a host of classmates, other relatives and friends
