Augusta, Georgia—Deacon Charlie Griffin, Jr. entered into rest Saturday, May 30, 2020 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2700 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, Reverend Christopher M. Culbreath, I, officiating and Reverend Kevin Griffin, eulogist.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted, loving wife of seven years, Mrs. Lorice Oates-Griffin; three daughters, Kim (Harry) Jackson of Grovetown, GA, Zendea Harmon of Augusta, GA, and Karen (Markus) Herrington of Augusta, GA; one son, Charlie Willie (Dorothy) Griffin III of Grovetown, GA; sister, Carolyn Boone of Riverdale, GA; three brothers, Dennis Griffin of Wapakoneta, OH, Carl (Yvonne) Griffin of Rochester, MN and Darryl (Lorine) Griffin of Evans, GA; brothers-in-law, Dea Alvin Melton Sr. of Augusta, GA, Deacon Robert Caine of Atlanta, GA, Larry Oates of Toledo,OH; sisters-in-law, Nancy Griffin of Augusta, GA, Barbara Ann (Leon) Holowell of Toledo, OH and Mary E. Baisden of Americus, GA; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. W. H.
