Obituary For Mattie Dorsey
Augusta, GA—Mrs. Mattie Leona Dorsey transitioned to Glory Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the age of 92. She was the widow of Ret. SGM Olin Dorsey, Jr. She was the mother of eight children; the grandmother of thirteen; the great-grandmother of ten; and the great-great grandmother of one. She was the oldest of five children, a homemaker and caregiver to many. She was an active member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from Trinity C.M.E. Church, 2930 Glenn Hills Drive. Interment will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. The remains will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
Family will receive friends at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1114 Twelfth Street, Augusta, on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. and Eucharist 7:00-7:30 p.m.
