Obituary For Mr. Calvin Bryant, Jr.

Augusta, Georgia-Mr. Calvin Bryant, Jr., 93 years old passed peacefully Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at his residence in Augusta, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Laura Mae and his son, Kenneth.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory: two sons, Calvin III and James (Zinell); three daughters, Janice (Everett) Anthony, Carolyn (Gerard) Murdock and Dana (Ronald) Williams; three sisters, Nancy (Clinton) Jones, Ruth Moore and Georgia Merriweather and a devoted friend, Mrs. Vernice Stokes; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Public viewing will be Monday, March 28, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1699 Olive Road, Augusta, Georgia. *Services will be live-streamed thru the church website.

Interment will be Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, South Carolina with military honors.

Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can not heal. Calvin was a delight to be around, he kept us laughing. I loved the way he and my second mother Vernice treated each other and cared for each other. He was truly a man of honor and grace. Calvin will truly be missed.

My brother was full of joy and it was a delight to be in his presence. Whenever he came home from California it was like Christmas all over again. He was full of optimism and I never saw him have a bad day. Thank you God for sharing him with our family for 93 years; truly we have been blessed.
