Augusta, Georgia-Mr. Clinton L. Walker, Sr. entered into rest Saturday, October 9, 2021.
Our beloved Clinton “Clint” Lawrence Walker, Sr. was born as the third child to Willis James Walker Sr, and Almeta Walker on September 17, 1946. During his life, he excelled at everything from academics to athletics. He enjoyed laughing and putting a smile on people’s face, he never met a stranger and was always kind to everyone he met. In 1966, he met the love of his life, Dwala at Paine College, he tutored her in math. They married and began their family in 1967. Professionally, he loved working, always had a job (always more than 2 jobs at a time) and saw work as an opportunity to provide for his family and be his best. In 1970, he was offered an academic fellowship to attend Howard University later graduating from The University of the District of Columbia with a degree in Philosophy. & Theology. Throughout life, he went on to earn several degrees and accolades from pharmaceutical sales to real estate broker over the course of his life, making school counseling his chosen profession retiring in 2009 from Richmond County School System. One of his best qualities was giving sound advice and living a calculated life intentional with every move. He was born-again, witty, charismatic, sound, practical, conservative, logical, loved to dance, observant, thoughtful, courageous, determined, strong in every facet, fun and just a world class man of God. God graced us with his presence longer than we could have even imagined. He was a fighter and never gave up nor complained about anything. We will miss him so much! His legacy includes a host of family members and close friends. Dwala Reid Walker (wife of 54 years); four brothers Willis James Walker, Sr. (heaven bound and Adrienne Walker); Michael Walker (heaven bound); Charles Walker (Ann Walker, sister in law), and Barry Walker (Gloria Walker, heaven bound); Charles Walker (Ann Walker, sister in law), three daughters Kimberly Walker-Watkins (John Watkins); Katharine Walker, Kysha Garrett (Dwayne Garett); Clint Walker, Jr. ( heaven bound); nine grandchildren: Morgan Walker-Mixon, Michael Walker, Mikala Watkins, Miah Watkins, Brandon Walker, Joshua Kerr, Christian Garrett, Kingsley Garrett and Camille Garrett, one great grandson, Lincoln Watkins. His best friend of 60 years, college buddy, fraternity brother (Omega Psi Phi) and road buddy “the sixth brother” Joseph Moore (Dorothy Moore). A great tribe of cousins Carr, Cooper, Evans, Frails, Hood, Murray, and Walker families both near and far. A great group of professional friends and associates in the community and around the world.

To my Uncle who will be greatly missed! I still remember our family Saturday morning and cartoons and wrestling shows and imitating The Junk Yard Dog. Uncle Clint was always there for his family and encouraged you to do better with yourself and with life. I know everytime I pass McDonald's I'll hear his voice saying, We got McDonald's at home. Love you Big Clint you will truly missed.
Thanks be to GOD for the life of Cousin Clint Walker. He touched the lives of both family and friends. He was present for the elders in the family and his immediate family.I recall after having knee surgery, he came and visited me, I am grateful. That's only one experience among so many. We need some more Clint Walkers. He had values and lived his faith through Jesus, the Christ.
Cousin Trent
Our grandmothers were sisters. He was both my cousin and my Omega Psi Phi fraternity brother. Of these I am extremely proud. I recall going to visit another relative in the hospital once, and Clint was already there. We stayed until visiting hours were over. He was the epitome of a family man, and he always made me feel like family. I will cherish my unwaveringly good memories of being in his presence. --Cousin Benjie
