Obituary For Mr. Erik M. Prentice

Mr. Erik M. Prentice entered into rest Sunday, March 20, 2022.

Erik Montgomery Prentice (Spoon) was born on March 5, 1998 to Hugh and Gracie Prentice.

He attended Second Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where he sang in the youth choir and participated in other church activities.

Erik graduated from the Academy of Richmond County High School in 2016. He then attended East Georgia College in Statesboro and later attended Georgia Southern. During the pandemic he attended Georgia Military College where he earned his Associate Degree. The following year he went to Kennesaw Universary.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh Prentice.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Gracie Prentice; two sisters, Kisha Addison (David) both of Augusta, Georgia and Huanna Prentice of Texas; his favorite nephew and lil man, Legend Bean Beard; one brother, Hugh Prentice, Jr. (Tameka) of North Carolina; one auntie, Pauline Plummer; six uncles, Ivory Harrison, Chris Harrison (Connie), Roger Prentice (Kathleen), Fenwick Prentice (Juta), Veron Prentice (Digna), Junior Prentice (deceased) (Greta); four aunts, Cavelle Belgrade (Clarence), Maura Huges (Michael), Terrilyn Thomas, Vantilor Prentice and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 1, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 120 Watkins Street, Augusta, GA 30901.

All CDC, social distancing, and face covering guidelines will be observed.
