Ms. “Joyce” Lillian Oliver, 76, of Augusta, Georgia passed away Monday, Augusta 9th 2021 at University Hospital. Born April 27th, 1945, in Augusta, Georgia, she was the daughter of late George Henry and Sarah Elizabeth Oliver. Upon the passing of her mother, her grandmother, the late Lillie Mae Sibert Curry, nurtured all five siblings. She is preceded in death by two of her sisters Betty Jean and Jane LaRonce. Lillian was a Christian and a devoted member of Bethel A.M.E Church where she served the Lord faithfully. She was a member of the Spirit of Praise Choir, Pastor Guild and Twentieth Century Board. Lillian attended private and public schools of Richmond County, graduating from Lucy Craft Laney High School in 1963. She was employed at University Hospital where she worked in patient care service for over 25 years. She had a humble, sweet and quiet spirit always willing to help those in need. She was devoted to her family and friends. She cared for every member of her family with thoughtfulness and love. She was a beloved and devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is survived by her four daughters, Cassandra (Wille), Yolanda (Napolian), Sharmika and Tamara , twelve grandchildren, Ronald, Darius, DeMarcus, Erin, Sarai, Destinee, DeVonte, Myles, Michael, Matthew, DeCameon, DeKobe,. Six Great-Grands, Lauren, Logan, China, Cashmere, Aiden, and Amir. She is also survived by her two sisters Yvonne Oliver and Janet Walker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. on the grounds of Bethel A.M.E. Church, 623 Crawford Avenue, Augusta, Georgia. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2700 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, Georgia.
