Obituary For Alaine "Fay" Vowell
Alaine “Fay” Vowell, 94 of Bowie passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
Fay was born February 11, 1930, in Louisville, KY to Caperton Swearingen and Gladys (Grant) Harris.
After graduation from Campbellsville University, she served as a Registered Nurse in the US Navy. She continued her nursing career for over 40 years before retiring.
On May 28, 1955, she married Otis “Raymond” Vowell in San Diego CA.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother James Hill Harris and husband Ray Vowell.
Fay is survived by son Ray Vowell wife Anne of Bowie, TX; daughter, Katherine Estes and husband Don of Irving, TX; grandsons, Ryan Estes and wife Penny of Fort Worth, TX, Daniel Estes and wife Erica of Euless, TX, David Vowell of Bowie, TX; granddaughter, Jaclyn Long and husband William of Euless, TX; great-granddaughters, Keira Estes and Reagan Long; brother, Norval Lee Harris, sisters, May Louise Elder and Betty Harris.
A private memorial will take place at a later date.
