Barbara Elaine Hutson, 77 of Nocona, TX, passed away Thursday, May 9th, 2024.
A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14th, at Starkey Cemetery.
Following the service there will be a family gathering at in the Fellowship Hall of the Nocona Hills Community Church.
Barbara was born January 11, 1947 in Haskell, TX to Freida (Wheatley) Littlefield. She attended Haskell High School, where she met the love of her life, Jackson “Jack” Hutson. The couple were married August 1, 1964, and together had two sons, John in 1968 and Chris in 1980.
Throughout her life Barbara worked for title companies. Starting her career in the late 70's as a secretary, working her way up the ladder until retirement in the early 2000's as an Executive Vice President for a commercial title company in Fort Worth. In her free time she enjoyed gardening and reading and loved spending time with her family and being with her dogs, Echo and Chiquita. Barbara will always be remembered not only for her memorable laugh, but as a loving and devoted Mother and Grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Freida Littlefield; her husband of 51 years, Jack Hutson, her son, Chris Hutson, and sister, Brenda Bowman.
Barbara is survived by her son, John Hutson and wife Jenny of Nocona; grandchildren, Rio Staggs and husband Shann of Austin, TX, Kennedy Martinez and husband Carlos of Nocona, and Zoe Fonseca and husband Jose of Taos, NM; great-grandchildren, Dulce Martinez, Nayeli Martinez and Santiago Fonseca; sister, Betty Byrom and husband John of Collinsville, TX, brother, Gary Littlefield of Abilene, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, dear in-laws and other family members; and her beloved furbaby Chiquita.
