Obituary For Barbara "June" Ens

Barbara “June” Ens, 90 of Bowie, TX, went home to be with the Lord after a brief illness, surrounded by her family on Monday, August 18th, 2025.

Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, with Rex Hamilton officiating.

Burial will follow at the Montague Catholic Cemetery in Montague, TX.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26th, at the White Family Funeral Home.

She was born, Barbara June Nobile, to Fred and Nell (Fenoglio) Nobile on November 5, 1934, at the family farm in Montague, TX. The family then moved to California when June was an early teen. It was there she met and married the love of her life Foster Ens on February 15, 1953. The couple were married 58 years before his passing in 2011. Together they raised 2 children.

June and Foster were very adventurous, traveling all over the country, “antiquing” as they called it. They bought land, cleared it, and built two homes together as well. June was a homemaker, and had many collections over the years, including a huge button collection. She loved to have fun and was a member of the “Bonco Group” in California for many years. She loved to cook and was a great cook of comfort food and family favorites.

June and Foster moved back to Montague in 1989, after his retirement, and lived out their final years in Montague and Montague County.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Foster, their son, Randy Ens, her brother, Eldon Nobile, and sister, Gwendoline Laughton.

June is survived by her daughter, Robin McIntire; grandsons, Shawn McIntire and wife Nicole, Darren McIntire and wife Sarah, and Skyler Ens and fiancé Brooke; great-grandchildren, Dylan McIntire, June McIntire, Lauren McIntire, Charlotte Webb and Meggan Mathews; brother, Donald Nobile; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie, TX.
