Obituary For Barbara Louise Gill

Barbara Louise (David) Gill, 87, of Kingwood, TX went to be with our Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2024, in Houston, TX.

Graveside services will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20th, at Vashti Cemetery in Vashti, TX, with Kenneth Liggett officiating.

Barbara was born on November 4, 1937. She was the only child of Keith and Otha Mae David. She grew up very close to her aunts, uncles and cousins. She graduated from Duncanville High School while there she excelled in basketball, music and home economics. She married William S. Gill on December 23, 1955, together they had three children and moved from Texas to New Jersey to California with William’s career with Shell Chemical. Barbara later returned to college and majored in special education, teaching for Humble ISD. She enjoyed many craft projects and being with family. She was a lifelong reader of her Bible and daily devotionals. Her humor and smile will be missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Barbara is survived by her husband William Gill; children, Keith Gill and wife Rosanne, David Gill and Mona Bostwick; grandchildren, Rachel Gill, Katherine Woodall, and Libby Adamek; and 5 great-grandchildren.
