Obituary For Carol Jane Strong
Carol Jane Strong, 54 of Bowie, TX, passed away Sunday, December 21st, 2025.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the East Hall of the Bowie Community Center.
Carol was a loving soul whose greatest joy in life was her family. She shared a profound and enduring love with the love of her life, Reagan Cable, and together they built a life rooted in compassion, loyalty, and unwavering support.
She was a devoted Mother and Gigi who poured her heart into those she loved. Carol is survived by her children: son Ross Atteberry and spouse Kayla Smith, daughter Barbara Bates and spouse Bryce Bates, daughter Bryanna Atteberry and spouse Jacob Dove, and stepdaughter Marley Cable and spouse Rolando Contreras. Gigi of 9 grandchildren; Levi Calhoun, John Monroe, Kynzlea Jane, Lynlea Grace, Kinley Christine, Kaden DeWayne, Charlee Jean, Orion Kai, and Phoenix June.
She is also survived by her parents, Kay Hanson and John Bowman, brother, Calhoun Bowman and love of her life, Reagan Cable.
Carol is preceded in death by her beloved brother, Lee Bowman; and grandmother; Dephenia “Dee” Meier.
Carol’s love extended far beyond words—she was a steady presence, a fierce protector, and a source of comfort and guidance. Her strength in the face of life’s challenges and her ability to love unconditionally will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

So sorry for the loss of Carol. I worked with her for almost 9 years. She was so devoted to her family, and her work family. She truly cared for, and about, people.
She made a baby blanket for my baby girl when she heard we were expecting our fifth child.
I know she is already missed by all that knew her.
