Cynthia “Cindy” Jo (Daffern) Rotruck, 76 of Forestburg, TX, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8th, 2026.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18th, at the Montague County Cowboy Church in Montague, TX, with Pastor Joe Caballero officiating.
Cindy was born on September 25, 1949, in Clarksville, TX to J.E. and Ruby (Baird) Daffern. She met the love of her life, Richard Rotruck, while attending Lewisville High School, and the couple married just shortly after graduation on October 21, 1967, in Lewisville, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Rachel Mitchell and granddaughter, Liberty Roark.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Rotruck of Forestburg; daughter, Jill Roark of Forestburg; four grandchildren, Richard Mitchell and wife Ellie of Ohio, Ryan Mitchell of McKinney, Avery Roark of Forestburg, and Witt Roark of Lewisville; and her sister, Beverly Ament and husband John of Atlanta, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of Cindy to the American Diabetes Association at P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116 or the American Heart Association at P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284.
