Obituary For Cynthia Sherwood Dooley

Cynthia Sherwood Dooley, 92 of Alvord, TX, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 5, 2022.

Graveside service will take place on Thursday, December 8th, at 11:00 am at Newport Cemetery, with Kevin Mayfield officiating.

Cynthia was born on February 16, 1930 to Cecil Oscar and Martha Clementine Sherwood. She was happily married to Tommy Dooley for over 47 years. Cynthia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alvord. Cynthia dearly loved her family and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Carol Rhyne.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Tommy Dooley of Alvord; sons Wade Mathews and wife Tammy of Alvord and John Mathews of Bowie; daughters, Cathy Mathews of Stillwater, OK and Debbie Humpert and husband Danny of Windthorst; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
