He met the love of his life when they were young , and married Lois Fay DeMoss, and they spent 68 years together. He had worked as a machinists early in his life at Fort Worth, transferring to a career at Bowie Industries where he stayed for 30 years. He never met a stranger his entire life, and he could tell stories with the best of them. He enjoyed being outdoors no matter what he was doing, but he liked to hunt and fish. His outings were more for him to spend time telling stories, than actually hunting or fishing. He could catch some "big" fish in his tales. He liked getting together with his in-laws, and they would have some wild 42 domino games.
Eddie was the youngest of 10 children, and all had proceeded him in death. He spoke many times about seeing them again in heaven.
He left behind his wife of 68 years Lois Fay Pittman, his son & daughter-in-law Gary & Lois Pittman, his daughter & son-in-law Judy & Jerry Hemphill, four grandchildren Justin Hemphill, David Pittman, Jordan and wife Lexie Hemphill and Anna Pittman , one great grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends
Pallbearerss are Jordan Hemphill, Jerry DeMoss, Mike DeMoss, David Hamilton, Danny Hamilton and Bobby Terry.
