Frances “Janell” McNutt, 87 of Bowie, TX, passed away Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, in Decatur, Texas.

Graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10th, at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Janell was born October 26, 1938, in Temple, OK to Thomas and Hazel (McPherson) Sanders. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1956. On October 30, 1959, Janell married Bobby McNutt in Wichita Falls, Texas and they moved to Bowie in 1976. She worked for the Jim Bowie Restaurant for several years before retiring. Janell was a homemaker and enjoyed working with ceramics, she raised parakeets and chow chow dogs.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby McNutt, sister, Evelyn Penn and brother, Clifton Sanders.

Janell is survived by her four sons, Keith McNutt and wife, Gail of Henrietta, Rocky McNutt and wife, Amy of Bowie, Chuck McNutt and wife, Connie of Burkburnett, Tommy McNutt and wife Phyillis of Henrietta; five grandchildren, Kelly Brown and husband, Scotty of Burkburnett, Ashley Koetter of Archer City, Jinny Hicks of Duncan, OK, April Koetter of Bowie, and Clint Vines and wife Amanda of Wichita Falls; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Charles Sanders of Wichita Falls.
