Obituary For George A. Reaves
George A. Reaves, 87, of Carlsbad, TX passed away Monday, May 25th, 2026.
A graveside service will take place on Friday, May 29th, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Silver Hill Cemetery in Post Oak, TX.
George was born on January 8th, 1939, in Post Oak, TX to Ida Marie (Middlebrook) and Gilbert Franklin Reaves. He was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Bowie. While living in Bowie, He owned and operated a very successful lawncare business. George will be remembered by those who loved him by his “Green Thumb” and loving personality.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Ida Reaves.
George is survived by his loving siblings; brother Herbert Reaves of Bowie; and sister, Emma Mae Large of Bowie.
