Obituary For Gerald Talkington

Gerald Talkington, 75, of Bellevue, TX passed away on February 4th, 2022 with family by his side.

Funeral services will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 12th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, TX with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie.

Gerald was born October 15, 1946 in Levelland, Texas to Elmer (Jack) and Ammie Talkington. He married the love of his life Darlene on May 13, 1963 and raised 4 children together. He worked as a Aerospace Machinist until he retired from Bell Helicopter at the age of 63 to spend his time traveling and spoiling his “woman”.

He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Ammie Talkington, sisters LaVerne Talkington Baird and Joann Oney, and brother Chester Talkington.

Gerald is survived by his wife Darlene of 59 years, his son Tracy Talkington and wife Tracie, daughters Karri Garvin and husband James, Kelli Ragsdale and husband Russell, and Misty Dyson; grandchildren Shelton Garvin, Emma Talkington, Jake Ragsdale and wife Emily, Britainy Wheeler and husband Morgan, Garrett Garvin and wife Hannah, Molly Talkington, Elizabeth Ragsdale, Hannah Ragsdale, Dylan Garvin, Austin Dyson and Caleb Dyson; and 9 great grandchildren Micheal, Matthew, Nathan, Abby, Weston, Hudson, Wayde, Shawn, and Riley.
