James Allen Broussard, 86 of Bellevue, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024.
Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9th, at the Bellevue Church of Christ, with Stephen Hanson officiating.
Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 8th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, TX.
James was born November 8, 1937 in Lafayette, LA to James and Hazel (Duhon) Broussard. He graduated high school in Henrietta, TX. On May 13th, 1958. James married Jean Webb in Bellevue. They owned and operated the family business Bellevue Feed Company since 1971.
He was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in Bellevue, and enjoyed going on mission trips with the Sojourners. James was truly a devoted family man, he loved spending time with his family and going camping. He will be remembered with love and appreciation and dearly missed.
James is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean; their children, Jamie Garrison and husband Perry, Jeff Broussard and wife Karen, and Jana Long and husband Doug; 8 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of James to the children's charity of your choice or the Sojourners Church of Christ Mission at 5554 Cooks Rd. Marshall, TX 75670.

Mr. James was a happy-go-getter as many remember him as. Many wonderful memories he made and many friends will miss him. May he rest - JOHN 5:28 & 29, ACTS 24:15.
I have wonderful memories of our yesrs of camping together. James was a wonderful and very caring person. Loved playing games with him and hearing him laugh. He'll be greatly missed. Diana Dodson
All my memories of James are good ones! He was always cheerful when he would greet me. His smile was contagious and that laugh I can hear now in my mind! He was an encourager and a wonderful example to me. His wonderful character and being is carried on through his family. Love to each of you. 💕
