Jamie was born October 2, 1967 in Dallas, TX to James Marcus Winters and Janet Carol Boles. She graduated from Rockwall High School in 1986, and attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, where she graduated with a Bachelors in Education. She later received her Master's Degree in Administration from Sul Ross University. Jamie worked in Education for 26 years.
She met her husband Glen, while they were at HSU. On July 28, 1990, Jamie married Glen in Rockwall, and together they raised two boys, Zachary Ryan and Jacob Tyler. She loved her family and would talk about them every chance she had. The only thing she loved more than her family was talking about her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jamie enjoyed talking about her faith to everyone and loved to sing about him too. Jamie was passionate about everything she did, from teaching her students, to her essential oils, and her boy's sporting events. Jamie's newest passion was her granddaughter, Ryan Grace.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Janet.
Jamie is survived by her husband, Glen of Bowie; sons, Zac and wife Kady of Archer City, TX and Jake of Anna, TX; sister Julie Harris of Kaufman, TX; her father James Winters of Lewisville, TX; brother, Jeff Thompson of Tulsa, OK; 8 nieces and nephews, and her precious granddaughter Ryan Grace.
Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers memorials can be made in honor of Jamie to Healing Hands at doterrahealinghands.org or the First Baptist Church of Bowie Scholarship Fund at 307 Lindsey St. Bowie, TX 76230.

Heartbreaking when a young person passes. Jamie had so many plans with her beautiful family but life was cut short. She left many great memories for all those close to her can cherish - Isaiah 26:19, Revelation 21:3 & 4, Acts 24:15. (Aw)
