Judy Haney, 79 of Bowie, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 3rd, 2021.
A funeral service will take place at Calvary Baptist Church in Bowie on Wednesday, December 8th, at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Ron Abbott, Rev. Cliff Spain and Pastor Chris Litt officiating.
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.
Judy was born June 5, 1942 in Bowie, to J.C. and Mary (Swagerty) McDonald. Judy married Harold “Butter” Haney on May 16, 1960 in Bowie. She worked at Haggar Slacks and Bellmire Nursing Home for many years. Judy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed mowing and working in her yard. Judy came from a large and loving family who loved her pies and cookies. Her grandson and great grandchildren who called her “JuJu” were her pride and joy.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harold “Butter” Haney; parents, J.C. and Mary McDonald; and daughter, Leslie Deneen Haney; brothers, Jerry Dean McDonald, Johnny “Bo” McDonald; sisters, Marilyn Cross, Carolyn Carter.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Mickki Haney-Brooks and husband Caroll, Bowie; grandson, Jon Ramos, Bowie; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Ramos, Rhett Ramos, and Xander Castenada; sisters, Carla Robbins and Diane Mara; brother, Kenny McDonald and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.
