Ray retired in 1999 where they made Montague, TX their home. Ray was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend and a longtime member of First Assembly of God in Nocona.
Ray was adventurous; he spent his time flying airplanes, building cars, riding motorcycles and loved a good fishing hole. There wasn’t a stranger he hadn’t met. He was a man of Honor and dedication and one of God’s faithful servants. He founded Tall Tales where he would take a group of young boys and their dads on an overnight fishing adventure, where he would lead by example and share the gospel and hope to build good character with the young boys and build relationships with the fathers. Ray was a jack of all trades, and he could fix anything that was put before him. He lived a life of great adventure and had stories to tell.
