Kenneth Ray Mckee Jr., beloved husband, father, brother, son and friend, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, at the age of 56.
A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held at Montague County Cowboy Church on March 5, at 1:00pm. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor a man whose faith, strength, and love of life will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held in Mississippi at a later date.
Born on February 1, 1970 to Kenneth Mckee Sr. and Patsy Mckee, Kenneth grew up in Aberdeen, MS, with a strong sense of faith, family, and community that carried him throughout his life.
Kenneth is survived by his devoted wife, Elissa Mckee, who was his steadfast partner and best friend for the last 8 years. He leaves behind three children, Dylan Mckee (Charley), Sydney Mckee, and Kyleigh Mckee. His brothers Foster Mckee (Melissa), and Josh Mckee. His father who loved him deeply, Kenneth Mckee Sr. (Lisa). His mother and best friend, Patsy Mckee, remains to cherish his memory as well.
Having spent most of the last 10 years in Texas, and the rest of his life in the North MS area, Kenneth blossomed friendships anywhere he laid roots. Kenneth was an incredible father to his children and his pets. His dog, Duke, was often treated as royalty. He was passionate about helping people in any way that he could find, furthering his deep and abiding faith in Jesus. Kenneth was an active member of the Montague County Cowboy Church, where his loud voice, calm demeanor, and helping hand stuck out to so many.
Kenneth’s presence in a room did not go unnoticed. He filled every space he was in with laughter, loudness, and compassion. No matter if Kenneth was in his shop working on something, talking to his children, or spoiling his animals, he loved so completely and without hesitation.
Though he has gone on to join his Savior and loved ones who passed before him, Kenneth’s spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to Montague County Cowboy Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Ken even though our season of knowing each other was short in my eyes. God knew the plan he had for your Life. This week Jesus granted you your Heavenly Wings and I can see you DJ'ing for "The Angels Heavenly Choir" having a great time praising The Lord!! I will cherish our Friendship, Brotherhood, and Faith that we shared. Until we meet again!! Praying for the Family.

The first day I met you was the day you moved in next to me. I looked over and I saw this big old corn fed mule carrying this big old box in the house and I said well I got new neighbors. The first day I'll let my smoker was the first day you and I connected. And we've been brothers ever since. Kenneth I love you so much you're the brother that I never had and it tears my heart out that I have to say so long for now because I'm going to miss you until the next time we see each other in heaven. I love you brother.
We will miss you more than words can express. We shared many great memories in a short time. I'm sure Dale will keep driving the monkeys to the circus for you! Till we meet again our friend!
