Obituary For Linton Dwight Campbell Jr.
Linton Dwight Campbell Jr., 70, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, December 25, 2025, in Bowie, TX.
Private services will take place at a later date.
Linton was born December 29, 1953, in Bowie, TX to Linton Dwight Sr. and Margaret (Crenshaw) Campbell. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1972. Linton worked numerous jobs throughout his life most recently as a roofing contractor.
He is preceded in death by his father, Linton Campbell Sr., mother, Margaret Gilmore, and brother Lee Henry Campbell.
Linton is survived by his sons, Brennan Campbell and wife Victoria of Dubai and Jeffrey Todd Campbell of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Kailey, Keira, Beatrix, and Yusef; stepsister, Debbie Leonard of Bowie; sister-in-law, Joan Campbell of Tyler, TX; as well as many nephews and nieces.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.

Add A CondolenceLinton was one of a kind!!! We worked together at Presidents Health Clubs and he was always the comedic life of the party. I had many many experiences with Linton and I considered him one of my best longtime friends. I'd not heard from Linton since just a few days prior to Christmas 12/24/24, a group of us close friends of his went on the hunt for him and just found out yesterday 03/11/2025 that he passed. Life doesn't seem quite the same today, the sun is not as bright and the day feels so much more gloomy knowing our dear brother is not with us! EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE GOD PICKS THE SWEETEST ROSE IN THE GARDEN FOR HIMSELF!! I love you Linton!
Linton has been a dear friend of mine for 30+ years. I will miss our never-ending conversations about family and football and will miss you every day. God bless you my friend until we meet again. 💕
Linton was a great person. He had a big heart and had great compassion for people. God took notice of that and will remember him in the near Resurrection of JOHN 5:28 & 29. May he Rest for now.
Linton was a blessing to me in High School. He was a great listener and kept me laughing and focused on making the High School life the best it could be. He listened when I cried because I lost my Dad at the age of 13 and missed him dearly. But Linton just let me cry and talk about my Dad. It takes a Special Someone to show the leadership he had. He will be missed. His funny text and his bragging about his wonderful GrandChildren. Prayers for his family.
Linton was like a protective brother to me. He was funny and uplifting and I was glad to of seen him the last 5 yrs while visiting in the hometown of Bowie.
